Important Parent Information
Take Home Folders
Take Home Folders contain homework, completed work, and announcements from school. One side is labeled "Keep at Home" and the other "Return to School." Please be sure to review your child's work and empty the "Keep at Home" side each night!
Absent Work
If your child is absent from school, work will be sent home upon their return. Please have your child complete the work at your convenience when your first grader is feeling well again!
Snacks / Water Bottles
We will have an opportunity to enjoy a snack in the afternoon. Please be sure that snacks are healthy, dry, and can be eaten independently (meaning your child does not need help opening/preparing their snack). If there are any food allergies within our classroom, they will be communicated to families at the beginning of the school year.
Birthday Invitations
Birthday invitations may be passed out in the classroom ONLY if there is an invitation for each student in the classroom. This avoids hurt feelings and disruptions in the classroom. If you need to obtain mailing addresses of individual students in the classroom, please contact me privately.
Birthdays in the Classroom
This year, we will celebrate birthdays at 2:30 p.m. If you would like to send in a treat for the birthday celebration, please be sure it is sealed/wrapped, store-bought and healthy! As tasty as they may be, we cannot accept home-baked goods. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me ahead of time.
Field Trips & Special Events
All field trips and events are TBD.
